Fans go crazy despite loss

They came, they saw, they supported. Yet they couldn't get past Nashville as GOALIE lost to the Predators in what seemed to be a very thrilling game at MTS Center in downtown Winnipeg on September 30.
The Jets can now take a breather and wait for October 9, 2011, for their first regular season game since 1996 in Winnipeg.
Ondred Pavelic gave up the shootout goal in front of another massive, loud, energetic crowd - giving Cal O'Reilly the win for the Preds.
This was the final chance. The final opportunity for the Winnipeg Jets to shine in pre-season action.
And the crowd? They couldn't mind what they saw. Which is why it is so interesting to see anti-Winnipeggers online bashing the team with such criticism.
Angry Thrasher fans have been raining on Winnipeg's parade since May 31, 2011 when the Jets were first resuscitated. But still, the crowd couldn't care less. In the meantime, its just about seeing our Winnipeg Jets back in action. Call it whatever you want. Call it Jets 2.0. Fact is, there is an entire city putting their heart and soul in to what they're doing every night - and tonight, despite the loss, each and every fan in the crowd was still on a high that is, "the Jets are back."
Remember folks, this is still pre-season. Make sure your seat belts are security fastened and your seats are in their upright position…October 9th is on it's way…a truly historic night for Winnipeg, the Jets, and the NHL.
